Acer has announced the release of its “smart” Halo speaker, which, according to the manufacturer, is a stylish and versatile device that can harmoniously fit into any interior thanks to its modern and compact design. RGB lighting at the base of the speaker provides additional options for customization, for example, synchronization with the rhythm of the music to create the desired atmosphere or change the color scheme depending on the time of day. At the same time Halo is one of the first “smart” speakers with support for Google Assistant and DTS sound.
In addition, an optional LED display will allow users to see the time or weather forecast. Also in development is an application that will make it possible to display a simple image or message on this screen. Support for Google Assistant will allow you to launch the assistant with a simple “Ok Google” command to turn on music, podcasts, news, get answers to your questions and activate other functions of the system. Two omnidirectional microphones can distinguish background noise from voice commands and provide fast response to the user’s voice, while a physical switch on the speaker cabinet helps those who wish to mute the microphone for privacy reasons.
The Acer Halo smart speaker will appear in North America in the first quarter of 2021 at a price of $ 109.99, and in the EMEA region in December 2020 at a price of 119 euros.
