The singer admitted that the process was painful.
Adam Levine got his first tattoo when he was 21 years old. The occasion was sad – the terrorist act that took place in the United States on September 11th. Then the singer felt that he should speak out about this, calling for peace. An image of a dove appeared on the bicep of his left arm.
Now Adam’s body has a whole collection of tattoos. Among them is the word “mom”. The hands of the frontman of the band Maroon 5 are completely painted. And now a giant image has appeared on another area of the artist’s skin – huge waves adorn the left leg from ankle to thigh. Master Nathan Kostechko filled this tattoo for three days. Levin showed the progress of the case on his personal microblog on Instagram.
“The most painful way to get tanned,” the artist joked. Sometimes, instead of pain, he was, on the contrary, tickled. Despite the painful and long process, he is satisfied with the work of the tattoo artist and does not regret his decision. “It was worth it,” admits Adam.
Over the years, during which the singer decorated his body with tattoos, he developed a special attitude towards them. For Levin, tattoos have become a roadmap that tells about his fate. “They always remind me of this long, strange, wonderful journey that life has been,” the artist told PEOPLE.
