Former world light heavyweight champion Alexander Gvozdik visited the training camp of his friend Vasily Lomachenko, who is preparing to return to the ring on June 26 against the Japanese Masayoshi Nakatani. The Ukrainian boxer announced this on his Instagram page.
“Positive attitude. Together with my friend Vasily Lomachenko, we were teammates, but now we are just a champion and a fan,” wrote Alexander Gvozdik.

Recall that in June 2020, Gvozdik announced his retirement, having decided to focus on developing his business. Before that, in October 2019, the Ukrainian suffered his first defeat in the pro, losing ahead of time to Artur Beterbiev in the unification fight for the WBC and IBF titles.
Meanwhile, Lomachenko in his last fight, which took place in October last year, lost by unanimous decision to Teofimo Lopez, missing out on the chance to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world.
