Former world heavyweight champion Mexican Andy Ruiz admitted that he was not entirely happy with how he fought against Chris Arreola, but the fact that he was able to rise after the knockdown and win is considered a positive moment.

“I liked that I was able to get up after the knockdown and win the fight. Everyone falls, but you have to get up, keep fighting and win, so I did. During the fight, I felt a little rusty, so I have to go back to the gym and work on myself. I was also a little slow and didn’t throw out the punches that I had to take. Still, we did enough to win and in this fight we saw what needs to be worked on next, ”Ruiz said.

Recall that Andy and Chris had a duel on May 1 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA. Ruiz won by unanimous decision.
