Andy Ruiz responded to Wilder’s challenge: “Perhaps he thinks I’m a warm-up fight.”

Former unified world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz said he heard about a challenge from former WBC title holder Deontay Wilder, who had previously mentioned him on a list of potential contenders.

Ruiz, who lost by unanimous decision to Anthony Joshua in the last fight, believes Wilder sees him as restorative. Despite possible underestimation from a divisional competitor, Ruiz claims he enjoys this fight.

“I heard he was trying to challenge me. Actually it would be a good fight. It would be a really great fight. So I would try to approach him in my best shape to be able to fuck all these assholes and get my belts back …

I know Wilder has lost his title. Maybe he thinks I’m a warm-up fight. He’s wrong. I work hard. Hard work in progress! ”Andy Ruiz said.
