Approaching the royal family?
Harry’s next visit to London is coming up
The memory of their late mother brings Prince Harry and William back together last week. However, their relationship should still be strained. The brothers will soon meet again at another event in honor of Princess Diana.
Prince Harry will be returning to the UK in a few weeks’ time to attend another event in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana. He could even bring his wife, Duchess Meghan, with him, reports British media.
The Duke of Sussex made a flying visit to his old home last week to attend the unveiling of a monument to Diana with his brother, Prince William. While the siblings presented themselves to the public as a unit, talked to relatives and laughed and joked together in front of the cameras, a tense relationship should still not have been overlooked behind the facade. This was reported by the “Daily Mail”, among others.
When Harry arrived at the ceremony, he was not received by his brother, but “only” the press secretary of the Kensington Palace. Prince Harry left the event after 20 minutes and returned to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, where he stayed for several days in the UK before heading to the airport.
Larger event in September
The event, which took place on Diana’s 60th birthday, was supposed to be attended by up to 100 guests, but had to be drastically reduced in size due to the corona pandemic. However, Kensington Palace has ambitions for another, larger event in September that might welcome project donors and charity leaders.
There is hope that Prince Harry will attend with wife Meghan. However, other sources say the date, just three months after the birth of their second child, Lilibet, on June 4th, may be premature.
Prince Harry and his US wife have been living with their now two children – son Archie turned two in May – in California for more than a year. They have completely resigned from their duties as senior royals.
