Armie Hammer nearly lost his driver’s license after divorcing his wife

The actor did not pay a fine issued by the traffic police.

As Us Weekly reports, Armie Hammer was charged with a traffic violation shortly after his divorce from Elizabeth Chambers hit the headlines in July 2020.

According to court records, the 34-year-old actor was stopped by a police officer in Arizona for taking a wrong turn to the right and not having a rear license plate on his car. Hammer pleaded guilty to the wrongdoing in August 2020. But he did not pay the penalty for the incident. The court suspended his driver’s license in September, three months later, Hammer paid $ 255 in full.

The Hollywood star and 38-year-old Elizabeth Chambers announced on Instagram back in July that they had parted ways after 10 years of marriage. They married in May 2010 and have two children – 6-year-old daughter Harper and 4-year-old baby Ford. Following news of their breakup, a source told Us Weekly that the couple had been having family problems for a long time.

Earlier this month, Hammer came into the spotlight again when several women said he was sending them intimate images detailing fantasies of cannibalism and violence. According to some reports, Chambers is now watching with horror the headlines and trying to protect children from the nightmare.
