WBC / IBF light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg), Russian Arthur Beterbiev (16-0-0, 16 KO) quite ironically spoke on social networks about the “secret” of his heavy hit.

“You often ask how to learn to hit hard. And I don’t know how to answer you.

Because there is no one magic exercise that will make the blow strong.

But today, when I was doing the sledgehammer exercise, I thought that I was actually doing it in an unusual way. Not as usual.

From about 18 years old, I hit with a sledgehammer once a week, but not intermittently, but for 30 minutes without stopping. In my opinion, this exercise definitely has a good effect on the power of the blow, “Beterbiev wrote on his Instagram.

The fighter is expected to return to the ring in the fall in a unification bout against WBO champion American Joe Smith Jr. (27-3-0, 21 KO).
