Black Hermione from “Cursed Child” will play in the remake of “The Little Mermaid”

It is not yet known what character the actress will perform.

Only the lazy is not talking about the upcoming remake of The Little Mermaid. In all likelihood, this will be the most controversial adaptation of the Disney cartoon. If only because it will be racially diverse enough.

Recently it became known that another name appeared in the casting list of the picture. Namely, the name of Noma Dumezveni, who played Hermione Granger in the play based on the play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”. It has not yet been announced who the star will play in the new cartoon, but the creators said that there was no such character in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Recall that the main role of the Little Mermaid in the adaptation was given to Holly Bailey, her father Triton will be played by Javier Bardem, Ursula will be portrayed on the screen by Melissa McCarthy. Other characters – Flounder and Scuttle the Seagull – will be voiced by Jacob Tremblay and Aquafina.

And the director of the new film based on the script by David Magie will be Rob Marshall. The remake’s composer includes Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken, who was the composer of the original cartoon.

Note that the network continues to actively discuss future adaptation. Most of all fans of the cartoon are confused by the fact that the Little Mermaid will be performed by the dark-skinned Holly Bailey. In the original, the young sea dweller was pale and with red hair.

But the creators of the remake said that Holly was chosen for the role for a reason. The fact is that it is she who will be able to perfectly sing the parts of the main character, since she herself is a young performer.
