Cardboard cases: Manny Pacquiao could be reinstated as welterweight champion
BOXING

The World Boxing Association (WBA) continues to diligently drown professional boxing with its conflicting decisions.

According to WBA President Gilberto Mendoza, former “super champion” of the organization in welterweight (up to 66.7 kg), Filipino veteran Manny Pacquiao, who lost his belt at the end of January (and absolutely on business) due to lack of performances, can be restored to this status.

Mendoza did not name the real reason, noting only that the fighter had submitted a petition.

“Initially, Pacquiao and Ugas were supposed to fight, but now he is going to fight Spence. Sean Gibbons, Pacquiao’s spokesman, sent in a letter asking them to reinstate him as “super champion”. We are working on it now. There is a high probability that this will happen, ”said the sanctioner.
