Chris Pratt cartoon wins People’s Choice Awards after election scandal

The actor’s sarcastic call to vote worked this year at the awards ceremony.

Pixar’s Animation Forward won the 2020 Family Movie of the Year award at the Sunday show hosted by Demi Lovato. The victory came shortly after the painting became involved in a public incident: 41-year-old Chris Pratt posted a poster for the feed on Instagram last month and in a caption ridiculed colleagues who urge fans to vote in the presidential election.

“Given everything that is happening in the world, it is more important than ever that you vote. Just ask any celebrity, ”Pratt noted, adding then that American voices are really needed at the upcoming People’s Choice Awards. Judging by the fact that Vperyod took the People’s Choice prize, Chris’s words worked.

Haters immediately criticized his post for being “insensitive” in light of the upcoming presidential election. It even went so far that the actor was dubbed “the worst Hollywood Chris”. It happened when writer Amy Berg asked Twitter followers which actor “should leave” the film industry: Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine or Chris Pratt. Followers immediately excluded the “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor from a number of stars.

Pratt’s wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, stood up to defend him, urging netizens to be kind, and friend Mark Ruffalo, noting that Chris was just trying to keep political views to himself.
