Date of bidding for the fight between Teofimo Lopez and George Cambosos has been set

Bob Arum did not lie.

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has set a promotional bidding date for the upcoming lightweight championship bout (up to 61.2 kg) between American Teofimo Lopez (16-0-0, 12 KO) and Australian George Cambosos Jr. (19-0-0, 10 KO) – February 18.

The main participants are two – Bob Arum, representing Lopez, and Lou DiBella, who handles the affairs of Kambosos.

If Arum wins, the fight will almost certainly take place in the States. Lopez is from New York, but due to tight state restrictions due to the pandemic, Top Rank is unlikely to be able to occupy the same Madison Square Garden until early summer.
