Former two-weight world champion David Haye urges not to write off WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in his upcoming bout against WBC title holder Tyson Fury. As Haye noted, he really liked the performance of “A.J.” in the fight against Kubrat Pulev, in which the Briton won an early victory in the ninth round.
“The bookmakers prefer Tyson Fury, and I understand why. He has not lost a single boxing match, only one of his fights ended in a controversial draw, for which he took revenge with an amazing knockout.
So I understand why people believe in Fury’s victory, but I just love what I saw in Joshua’s last fight against Pulev. Anthony was calm, he took some punches. In this fight, he really reminded me of the peak Lennox Lewis. I think he gets better with every fight. I’m really looking forward to this fight. They have to arrange it, “David Haye told talkSPORT.
