Eddie Hearn: “I can’t stop thinking that if White defeats Povetkin, his fight against Wilder will be massive.”

The head of the Matchroom Boxing promotion company Eddie Hearn admitted that, despite the upcoming rematch of Dillian White with Alexander Povetkin, he is already thinking about putting the British heavyweight in the ring with the ex-world champion Deontay Wilder.

“Of course, at the moment we are focused on the fight between Joshua and Fury, but White may be in a position to fight for the world title. I love his fight with Deontay Wilder. Wilder vs White is a fight that we have been talking about for a long time. Dillian White had been calling for this fight for three years, and then Deontay suddenly lost. Now he is challenging Dillian.

White is focused on beating Povetkin and becoming a must-have again. But I can’t stop thinking that if Dillian defeats Povetkin on March 6, his fight against Wilder will be massive, “Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports.
