An application against Viktor Baturin was written by his own sister Elena, who is the owner of Inteko Group of Companies.
Yesterday, July 2, the ex-wife of the TV presenter and producer Yana Rudkovskaya was detained in a criminal case of attempted fraud. The TFR and FSB officers arrested 64-year-old Viktor Baturin in his country cottage. The businessman will remain in custody until September 1, TASS reports.
Victor was accused of fraud by his sister Elena Baturina, one of the richest women in Russia and the widow of the former mayor of the capital, Yuri Luzhkov. In her statement to the police, she indicated that Viktor fraudulently took possession of 25% of the shares of the Inteko company she owned. The oligarch denies his guilt and intends to appeal the court decision.
It is not the first time that Baturin has become a defendant in a criminal case. In 2008, he threatened to kill Yana Rudkovskaya during a quarrel and, in support of his words, put a PM pistol to her temple.
Until November 2011, the TV star could not return two sons, who remained with their father after the divorce.
Yana was able to pick up the boys only because Baturin went to the colony on a fraud case. Although Viktor himself prevented Rudkovskaya from meeting with the children, she allowed them to see her father after he was released in 2016.
