“Vogue” honors Jill Biden with a cover picture

“A first lady for all of us” – under the title “Vogue” magazine puts first lady Jill Biden on the cover. An honor that the well-known fashion magazine does not bestow every first lady.

The first lady of the USA, Jill Biden, graces the new cover of the American “Vogue”. Former first ladies, including Michelle Obama, were also featured on the front page of the fashion magazine. However, Biden’s direct predecessor Melania Trump, a former model, didn’t make the front page during her husband’s tenure.

“A first lady for all of us: On the road with Dr. Jill Biden” was the title of the article published today in the August issue of the magazine. The cover photo shows 70-year-old Biden in a dark blue dress printed with flowers by designer Oscar de la Renta on a balcony of the White House with the Washington Monument in the background.

Her husband Joe Biden has been President since January 20 and Jill Biden is the 48th First Lady. During her husband’s tenure as Vice President, she was second lady from 2009 to 2017. The cover picture of the February issue of “Vogue” was dedicated to the newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris.
