Former champion in five weight categories and former leader of the pound-for-pound rating, American Floyd Mayweather commented on the organization of the fight between his former rival and ex-pound-for-pound leader, Filipino Manny Pacquiao (62-7- 2, 39 KO), and compatriot Errol Spence (27-0-0, 21 KO).
Mayweather was laconic and noted only that the veteran was still a threat.
“He’s still dangerous,” said the fighter.
Earlier, the editor-in-chief of The Ring, Doug Fisher, discussing this confrontation, came to the conclusion that Spence, despite his status as a clear favorite, would still have to responsibly prepare for the battle.
A slightly less optimistic forecast was given by former Spence’s rival and ex-welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Chris Aljieri.
