Armie Hammer goes into rehab

Abuse, rape and cannibalism – the allegations against Armie Hammer are tough. But apparently the US actor also suffers from various addiction problems. Therefore, the 34-year-old should now have voluntarily admitted to a clinic in Florida.

US actor Armie Hammer is said to have checked into an inpatient facility in Florida at the end of May for treatment for various addiction problems. The magazine “Vanity Fair” reports. Accordingly, the 34-year-old suffers from drug, alcohol and sex addiction and has agreed to stay in rehab for as long as it is necessary to get well. He is said to have promised his separated wife, TV presenter Elizabeth Chambers, who took him to the airport with their two children on May 31 to say goodbye.

“For the sake of my family, I have to focus on myself and my health,” US media quoted in April from a message from Hammers after the actor jumped from a theater role. Hammer has lost many roles in cinema, TV productions or on Broadway after several women made abuse allegations against the star.

Rape and cannibalism allegations

The Los Angeles police are also investigating rape allegations. His management also turned away from the actor. The 34-year-old rejects all allegations. A 24-year-old woman recently accused the actor of brutally raping her for over four hours and of “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abusing her between 2016 and 2020.

In addition, news allegedly written by Hammer has been rampant online since January. In these, the former “Call Me By Your Name” star is said to have written about violent sex fantasies and cannibalism, among other things. It has not yet been clarified whether these are actually private messages from the actor. Hammer said in a statement that the allegations were “bullshit”.

Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers had been in a relationship since 2007 and married since 2010. The relationship resulted in two children, a daughter (born 2014) and a son (2017). In the summer of 2020, the couple announced the separation via Instagram.
