Frank Sanchez manager thinks Cuban will fight for WBO title this year

Mike Borao, manager of undefeated Cuban heavyweight contender Frank Sanchez, says his boxer is getting closer and closer to a fight for the world title.

“Frank is currently seventh in the WBO rankings and twelfth in the WBC and WBA,” Borao told Sky Sports.

“Frank spent three defenses of his NABO title, while the guys in front of him (in the WBO rankings) have not fought for more than a year, and the same Pulev recently lost. As I predicted earlier, Fury will fight Joshua, and as a result, the WBO title will be vacant sometime in 2021, due to which the mandatory challenger Usik will enter the ring with someone for the vacated belt.I still believe that this scenario will happen, but nothing can be known for sure.

If the WBO title becomes vacant in early 2021, as Fury fights Joshua, then Frank will be in a very good position to challenge the WBO belt and I have no doubt that he will be able to show his best. “
