Gilberto Ramirez and Marcus Brown can compete for the right to fight with Artur Beterbiev

According to Badlefthook.com, ex-middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg), Mexican Gilberto Ramirez (41-0-0, 28 KO), currently playing in the light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg), can fight for “ interim ”WBC title with American Marcus Brown (23-1-0, 18 KO). The teams are negotiating.

Ramirez returned to the ring in December after a two-year downtime, stopping American veteran Alfonso Lopez in the 10th round (32-4-0, 25 KO).

Brown has not fought since August 2019, when he unexpectedly lost to Canadian veteran Jean Pascal (35-6-1, 20 KO), suffering his first career defeat.
