The singer noted that at that time he “eagerly absorbed new experience.”
Harry Styles has become the hero of the new issue of Vogue magazine. The singer graced the cover of the publication, becoming the first male celebrity to single-handedly appear on the cover of Vogue.
In an interview with the magazine, Harry debunked rumors that he was “unhappy” with One Direction. “I think it’s so typical to leave a group like that and almost apologize for being in it. I love the time I was in One Direction. Then for me all this was new, I studied and tried to get as much experience as possible. I tried to absorb it into myself … This is probably why I love traveling so much now – I absorb a lot of experience and impressions, ”the singer shared.
Harry has been a part of One Direction since the band’s founding. Together with him, the team consisted of Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zane Malik. The latter left the group just a year before the members “went on hiatus” in 2016.
Also in an interview with Vogue, Harry shared his thoughts on the image and the choice of clothing. “The people I look up to in music – Prince and David Bowie, Elvis and Freddie Mercury, Elton John – they are real showmen. As a child, I was just delighted. Now, if I wear something very bright, I don’t feel crazy. I think if you put on what you feel great in, it’s like you put on a superhero costume and get strength from it, ”said Styles.
Then he touched upon the topic of separation of clothes for women and men: “As soon as you erase this barrier, a whole space opens up for you to play on. Sometimes, when I go shopping, I catch myself looking at women’s clothes: they seem amazing to me. Whenever you put barriers to yourself, you simply limit yourself. There is a lot of joy in playing with clothes, ”the artist shared.
