Five women are believed to have planned a terrorist attack in the French city of Montpellier. The suspects were taken into custody.
According to judicial sources, the authorities in France arrested five women on suspicion of preparing an Islamist attack. They were arrested in the southern French city of Beziers, the judicial representative told Reuters on Sunday.
A government spokesman had previously not wanted to comment on details. The magazine “Le Point” had reported that the arrests were in connection with the possible planning of an attack in Montpellier in the south of France.
