WBC middleweight champion (up to 72.6 kg), American Jermall Charlo (31-0-0, 22 KO) called the condition under which he is ready to meet with the two-time champion in a category higher, compatriot David Benavides (23-0-0, 20 KO), who had repeatedly challenged him to a duel earlier.
According to Charlo, he would like to fight Benavidez, but within intermediate weight. Which one, the fighter did not specify.
It is unlikely that Benavidez, who has recently been struggling to fit into the 76.2 kg limit, and before his extreme performance and completely failed the weigh-in, will go for it.
Charlo, who started his career in the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg), has never crossed the limit of his current division.
