Former US President Donald Trump had agreed on arms deliveries with the United Arab Emirates. Joe Biden now apparently wants to keep this. They had previously been put on hold.
The US government resumes its $ 23 billion arms sales to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The deal includes the supply of Lockheed Martin F-35 stealth fighter jets, armed drones and other equipment, Congress officials said Tuesday.
However, details of the agreement would continue to be reviewed and the US would coordinate with Emirati officials on the use of the weapons, a US State Department spokesman said.
The government of Democratic President Joe Biden had initially suspended the business dealings decided by former Republican President Donald Trump for revision.
