Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. decided at the last moment to change the opponent

Former world middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. continues to find himself in all sorts of funny situations …

This Friday, Chavez Jr. was scheduled to fight a 10-round light heavyweight fight against Argentine boxer Nicolas Masseroni. However, the son of the Mexican boxing legend decided at the last moment to change his opponent, saying that he was unable to make the weight stipulated in the contract.

“Remember, I told you that my opponent is unable to lose weight. Now I will fight with the Ecuadorian. The fight will take place on the same day. Everything will be exactly the same, so I’ll see you on Friday,” Chavez Jr. said in an address to fans.

At the same time, Masseroni denies the words of the Mexican, assuring that he will not be able to share the ring with Chavez just because their sides could not come to a mutual agreement on the terms of the fight. The Argentine will be replaced by boxer from Ecuador Jason Minda, whose record is 14 wins, two defeats and one draw.
