Fearless Duchess: Kate Middleton got a tarantula and named it after her daughter

The 39-year-old Duchess Kate Middleton is perhaps one of the most daring women in the British royal family. Recently, the wife of Prince William proved to everyone that she is alien to the typical “girlish fears.” So, for example, during a visit with her husband to the zoo for an exhibition of exotic animals, she expressed a desire to stroke a huge tarantula.

Kate quite calmly took the spider in her hand to spite all the arachnophobes, and later she was even given this cute “furry monster”. She named him Charlotte after her own daughter. The young heiress was not at all offended by this.

It turned out that the granddaughter of Elizabeth II also adores tarantulas. But her dad refused to take the creature in his hands, and instead took a picture with a python. The prince admitted that he would not agree to have such a pet as a python for his children, but he approves of a tarantula in the terrarium, writes People magazine.
