Lewis will not be in Billions season 6

He announced his departure with a smile on his face.

He left, but promised to return: Lewis will not be in the sixth season of Billions

Billions is a drama about rich people. Bobby Axelrod (Lewis) fled from the Swiss clutches of Empire State Attorney General Paul Giamatti. The Emmy winner ended his filming at the end of season 5.

In a scenario, it was arranged like this: after many years, when Axelrod was only one step ahead of the law and the loss of his fortune, he saw that most of it was already lost when he moved to Europe. He told his rival Mike Prince (Corey Stoll), who took over all of his businesses: “So this is what it means to lose.”

Brian Koppelman, executive producer of the project, praised Lewis on social media:

“We’ve had a great 5 years working with Lewis Damian. I and David Levien are more than grateful to you, Damian, for your work and, of course, all the sacrifices that you made in the name of our common cause. “

“Billions”, having received an official sequel for season 6, first returned to filming the second half of season 5, which was postponed due to the pandemic. In this installment, the battle between Axelrod Lewis and Chuck Rhodes from Giamatti got some extra heat from former House of Cards star Stoll. The latter then won a regular spot in season 6.

By the way, despite the fact that Lewis has ceded the lead role to Stoll, there are rumors that he may still appear several times in season 6, which is scheduled to debut on September 23, encouraged Dead Line. In the new season, Daniel Breaker also received a permanent spot on the series.
