Loughlin “loves turning”
Ex-prisoner wants to act again
With “Full House” she achieved international fame in the 80s and 90s. But then it is precisely a bribery scandal that brings Lori Loughlin back into the limelight. The actress is released shortly before the turn of the year. She already has career plans for 2021.
A few days ago, Lori Loughlin was allowed to leave prison after around two months. After a tearful reunion with her daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, according to media reports, the 56-year-old should wait for her husband Mossimo Giannulli to be released in about three months – and then she would like to concentrate on acting again. The US magazine “People” reported, citing an anonymous source.
Because of the pandemic, Giannulli is therefore not allowed to receive any visits. Contact with the family is currently purely via telephone calls. Now Loughlin wants to enjoy the time at home and wait. Before that, the star from the TV series “Full House” had already stated that she would like to work as an actress again in the future. “She has always loved her career,” explains the insider. “She loves making and making films. The only focus right now is on reuniting with Mossimo.”
Both Loughlin and Giannulli were sentenced to prison terms for being implicated in the major university bribery scandal in the United States. They had admitted to having paid the equivalent of about 410,000 euros in bribes to give their daughters advantages at the University of Southern California. In addition to jail time, Loughlin was fined $ 150,000 and 100 hours of community service. Her husband was sentenced to five months’ imprisonment, a $ 250,000 fine, and 200 community hours.
In the 2019 scandal, it was revealed that in addition to the two other wealthy parents had paid bribes. One of these is “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman, who only had to go to jail for eleven days due to a much lower bribe.
