Michael Hunter: “Without the knockout punch, Usyk won’t be respected by anyone in the heavyweight division.”

American Michael Hunter believes that it will be difficult for the former undisputed heavyweight champion Ukrainian Alexander Usik to get big fights in the heavyweight division. According to Michael, fans expect a knockout from boxers in this weight category, while Alexander does not have knockout power.

“Usyk is a full-fledged heavyweight, but it will be very difficult for him in the heavyweight division. I think other fighters will not reckon with him in this weight category. Therefore, he will have problems getting fights. Fans want to see opponents knock out each other, and Usyk doesn’t have the qualities to knock out his opponents.

Alexander is a good and clean boxer, but if he does in the heavyweight division what he did in the heavyweight division, it will irrevocably lead to defeat. The fight with Joe Joyce is the only right route for him. Because the only way to get a champion fight is to be a must-have challenger. Which of the leaders of the Usyk division will be able to outbox really easily? Plus, without a knockout blow, no one will respect him, ”Hunter said.

Recall that Michael has experience in fighting Alexander. Their fight took place in April 2017 and the Ukrainian won by unanimous decision.
