Michael Keaton sets a Screen Actors Guild Record

The actor received the third award.

Birdman star Michael Keaton broke the record for the most Screen Actors Guild Awards. For him, this award was the third in a row.

The 69-year-old actor received an Outstanding Acting Award for Trial of the Chicago Seven. This means that Michael won the Best Cast category for the third time. Keaton has previously received a similar award twice: for his participation in the films “Birdman” and “Spotlight”. Thus, he became the first person in the history of the Screen Actors Guild Awards to receive three awards for outstanding performance in a film.

In addition to the Best Cast Awards, Michael Keaton has other nominations in which he did not win this award. For example, Keaton has already been honored for Outstanding Male Actor in the Miniseries or TV Movie Company in 2007 and Outstanding Male Actor in Birdman in 2014.

Several years ago, Michael Keaton won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Last year it became known that the actor is in talks to repeat his success and again star in the role of the superhero Batman and Bruce Wayne in the film of the same name. According to rumors, the directors have given their consent to Keaton’s participation in the upcoming superhero film.
