Motorola unveils Moto G100: Snapdragon 870 chip, desktop mode out of the box and price tag of 499 euros

Motorola, as promised, today unveiled the Moto G100, the first flagship smartphone in the Moto G line.

What a beast

The device is a copy of Motorola Edge S, which was released in China in January. The smartphone received an elongated IPS-display 21: 9 by 6.7 inches. Screen without rounding. It supports HDR10 and DCI-P3 color gamut. The panel resolution is FHD + and the scan rate is 90Hz. The same flagship chipset is responsible for the heart of the novelty. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, which is essentially an overclocked version of last year’s Snapdragon 865. The chip comes paired with 8GB of RAM. Built-in storage in the new product of 128 GB. It can be expanded with a microSD card up to 1 TB.

The smartphone also received IP52 splash protection, NFC, 3.5 mm jack, side scanner, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, a button to launch Google Assistant and a 5000 mAh battery with a USB-C port. Wireless There is no charging here, but there is a fast 20 W wired one. A power supply with this power is included in the kit.

Like the Chinese version, the Moto G100 has a desktop Ready For mode. It allows you to connect the device to a monitor using a dedicated docking station or via a USB-C to HDMI cable. By the way, according to XDA, these accessories will come with the device, but their availability depends on the market.

As for the cameras, there are five of them in the Moto G100: two front ones at 16 MP + 8 MP (shirik) and four main ones at 64 MP + 16 MP (shirik) + 2 MP (depth sensor) + ToF sensor. Out of the box, the smartphone is equipped with the Android 11 operating system with Moto branded chips.

Price and when to wait

Moto G100 will start selling in Europe in the coming days. There will be one modification for 8/128 GB and three colors: Iridescent Sky, Iridescent Ocean and Slate Gray. The issue price is 500 euros. It is not yet known whether the novelty will appear in our company.
