New Russian attack aircraft OAK repeated the trick of Tom Cruise from Top Gun

The domestic miracle of technology was presented at the MAKS-2021 exhibition.

At the Russian exhibition “International Aviation and Space Salon” this year, the domestic fighter OAK was presented, which was able to repeat the trick of Tom Cruise from the new part of the Top Gun film.

This was noted by the columnist and editor-in-chief of The Aviationist, David Sensiotti, who visited the exhibition. The fact is that the new attack aircraft is capable of flying at extremely low altitudes.

These are the abilities that Cruise’s hero demonstrates in the trailer for the sequel to Top Gun. In real life, it is quite difficult to fly an aircraft at such an altitude, especially in the desert.

The fact is that sand and fine debris can get into the turbines of a jet engine, which will lead to breakdown. It seems that our Kulibins managed to solve this problem.

Note that Top Gun: Maverick is a sequel to the original 1986 franchise. Tom Cruise played in it when he was only 24 years old, and he had to wait for the second part as much as 35 years.

In addition, the actor was even specially trained to fly the plane in order to independently perform all the actions in the frame. The movie is set to premiere on November 17, 2021.
