Only the award for her role in “City of Predators” helped the actress feel better.
This Wednesday, Roots Cox attended the radio show The Howard Stern Show with fellow sitcom Friends Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.
During the interview, the on-screen Monica spoke frankly about her feelings about the fact that she was the only one of the six stars of the series who did not receive an Emmy award.
“When all the actors were nominated except me, it definitely hit me. I was happy for everyone, and then I finally thought, “Oh, am I the only one? It hurts, ”admitted the 57-year-old actress.
The only thing that made Cox let go of his grudge was a Golden Globe nomination for filming the sitcom City of Predators. As noted by Courtney, she would like to say that it was not important, but then this award meant everything to her.
Despite her own experiences, the actress did not miss a single award ceremony in the years when her colleagues on the Friends series were nominated.
“I want them to win, I just also want to be a part of it, I never wanted to take anything away from anyone,” Courtney said.
She also remembered how, back in season 1 of Friends, she was one of all the people nominated for the Audience Award. At that time, it was very embarrassing for Courteney Cox, but now she believes that “she shouldn’t have felt bad.”
