On the path of patriotism: the actor talks about his country in a new program.
Ahead of the release of the first edition of the travel series Men in Kilts, Scottish actor and TV host Sam Heughan appeared in a trailer while filming a trip to Scotland. In the footage, the artist is leading the orchestral group marching through the fortress. The Outlander star is working on a project in collaboration with Graham McTavish, who is announced as the second actor in the series.
Men in Kilts is a new show designed to take viewers from the heart of Scotland to Glencoe, where one of the famous battles of the great “clan war” took place. The first story focuses on the Battle of Culloden, Inverness and the turning point that shaped Scotland as it is today and where it is known to the world.
The show features eight episodes in which Outlander’s famed Sam and Graham showcase the rich and complex heritage of their home country to fans of the film. The show will feature a variety of experts and distinguished guests as planned. The project was prepared for release by the Starz channel. The preliminary release date of the first episode is announced for February 14 this year.
This is not the only joint project of the famous Scottish actors. They have released a general book Clanlands, also dedicated to the history and modernity of their beloved homeland – Scotland.
