Ex-welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg), American Regis Progre believes that one victory of the reigning champion in the second featherweight (up to 59 kg) and light (up to 61.2 kg) weights Gervonta Davis over the owner of the “regular” WBA belt Mario Barrios will be not enough to consider him a worthy rival for him.

“Weight categories were invented for a reason. Don’t get me wrong, “Tank” has great strength in his hands, he is very talented, for his height – 165 cm. I have no doubt that I can shake him.

I hope he beats Barrios. I have nothing against Barrios, but to be honest, I do not rate him very highly. Hopefully, Tank will do it convincingly, because in that case he will be sure that he is ready for 140 pounds and a meeting with me, ”said Progre.
