Rumor: Oscar Rivas and Bryant Jennings to challenge WBC Bridgerway title on June 18

BOXING

According to BoxingScene.com, the World Boxing Council (WBC) will compete for its title in a new weight category (up to 101.6 kg) in mid-June.

33-year-old Colombian fighter Oscar Rivas (27-1-0, 19 KO) and 36-year-old American Bryant Jennings (24-4-0, 14 KO) will fight for the belt, the fight will take place June 18th in Montreal, Canada.

If one can still agree with Rivas’s candidacy, then Jennings, who has not won since mid-2018 and suffered two defeats in a row, is frankly skeptical.

It is worth noting that the fighters have already met – in January 2019, Rivas stopped the American ahead of schedule in the 12th round.
