Ryan Garcia: “Champion belts don’t matter”
BOXING

American prospectus lightweight (61.2 kg) Ryan Garcia (21-0-0, 18 KO) admitted in an interview with ESPN that he does not see much importance in the championship belts, given the difficult realities of modern professional boxing.

“At the moment I’m thinking about my next move. And if we talk about Teofimo Lopez, then I would be naive if I thought that he does not matter. What really doesn’t matter is the belts.

I only carry the belt around because it looks good on me. In truth, we have too many champions divorced, so you don’t know which one is the real one. But I know the truth. You won’t be considered a champion until you beat the coolest guys in the division, ”said Garcia.
