According to US media reports, the government has to pay $ 3,000 for Secret Service toilets because Ivanka Trump and her husband do not let the guards use their toilet.
According to a Washington Post report, Ivanka Trump’s guards were not allowed to use any of the six bathrooms and powder rooms that are in the Washington State residence of the US president’s daughter and her husband. The Secret Service is responsible, among other things, for the security of US presidents and their families. The agents have to be on site around the clock.
For a while, the report said, the guards were allowed to visit a toilet in Barack Obama’s house nearby, also in the celebrity district of Kalorama. But that was not a permanent solution. That’s why the Secret Service rented a separate apartment next to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, which also has a toilet. Monthly rental cost: $ 3,000.
While the White House told the Washington Post that the request for a private toilet had come from the Secret Service itself, agents reported differently to the newspaper. The instruction that the toilets of the 460 square meter house are taboo for the security guards was given directly by the residents.
