Note that the 37-year-old boxer has not fought since November last year, when he lost by knockout in the 11th round to Mexican Saul Alvarez. In this fight, “Crusher” lost the title of the WBO world light heavyweight champion.
In the spring of this year, Kovalev negotiated a duel with the Cuban Sullivan Barrera, but the fight fell through due to the coronavirus pandemic.
We will remind, earlier it became known that the next fight of Kovalev could take place in Russia.
