Teofimo Lopez: “I hope Lomachenko stays lightweight to scare Davis, Garcia and Haney”

The undisputed world lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez said he wants his former rival Vasily Lomachenko to stay in the 135-pound division to intimidate other star fighters.

“To be honest, I think that everyone Lomachenko fights with will run into problems. There is still enough fuel in his tank to keep moving towards his goal – be it an absolute featherweight championship or something else. I believe he has the potential to beat all these guys in the lightweight division.

I hope he stays at 135 pounds to scare these guys. I mean Davis, Garcia and Haney are very happy because Teofimo beat Lomachenko. They were very much afraid of him, but now they can forget about him. At least they will try to do it. I think that is why we do not hear the name of Lomachenko. In my opinion, this is a sign of disrespect, because this guy was a pound-for-pound leader in the eyes of many people. Even Bob Arum said that Lomachenko is better than Mohammad Ali or close to him, “Teofimo Lopez said in an interview with the YouTube channel iFL TV.

Recall that Lopez also responded to the words of Eddie Hearn that he is not the absolute world champion.
