Teofimo Lopez: “Lomachenko considered himself a god, so I wanted to chop off his head”
BOXING

The undisputed world lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, who will fight George Kambosos on June 19, believes that his previous rival Vasily Lomachenko overestimated his capabilities.

“When you fight the best, you become the best. And I am grateful that I was in this position at 23. You will see something different on June 19th. I have a lot of trump cards up my sleeve, even outside the ring. My exit in the ring everyone will remember. I am a young and hungry lion, young Simba or call me what you want.

Mentally, I thought that Lomachenko believed in his own hype. I don’t believe in my hype. It seems to me that Lomachenko considered himself a god, so I just wanted to chop off his head. Lomachenko becomes confident when he gets into the rhythm. I did everything so that he could not find his rhythm. As a result, Lomachenko understood what it was like to be frozen, “said Teofimo Lopez.
