150 people shot dead over independence weekend in the United States

In the one plagued by violence US-Metropole Chicago 14 people were shot dead on the holiday weekend. Overall are 88 people through firearms around Independence Day on July 4th injured the authorities announce. The third largest city in the United States recorded 774 murders last year, making it the second deadliest year in two decades. In 2021, this sad record could be exceeded.

Five children and two police officers were among the injured. The Gun Violence Archive said there were more than 400 shootings nationwide over the weekend, killing at least 150 people.
