Venezuela and the US are actually known as staunch adversaries. Now, in an interview with Bloomberg TV, the President of the South American country Nicolás Maduro expressed his hope for a new start in relations: “We want to return to dialogue and mutual respect and to build a relationship of cooperation with the United States” he said.

Maduro also wants to attract new investors to the South American country, which is in a deep economic crisis, despite the international isolation and the sanctions of the USA and the EU. “Venezuela is becoming a land of opportunity for investment.” He sees great potential in tourism, the oil industry, heavy industry and mining.
