Tim Tszyu beat Dennis Hogan, forcing opponent’s corner to throw a towel

BOXING

The main event of the boxing show in Newcastle (Australia) has just ended, in which the next performance of undefeated middleweight prospect Tim Tszyu took place, sharing the ring with former world title challenger Dennis Hogan.

Having occupied the center of the ring, Tszyu began to push Hogan to the ropes, throwing out powerful single or double punches. In Round 2, Tim had an eyelid cut after head bumping. Hogan, as always, tried to impose dirty boxing, drying the fight with clinches and grabbing the opponent’s hands. Sometimes Dennis had good hits, but in strength they were noticeably inferior to Tszyu’s punch.

In the 3rd and 4th rounds, Tim, having increased the tempo even more, was able to feel Hogan’s liver with a left hook, with which he finished a combination of three punches each time. Even greater success in the attack for Tszyu was outlined when he managed to knock Hogan down with a beautiful uppercut. After which Tim was able to completely take the initiative into his own hands, smashing Dennis more and more, eventually forcing the opponent’s corner to throw out the towel.

Result: Tim Tszyu defeated Dennis Hogan by TKO in the 5th round
