According to the Sporting News portal, the son of the former undisputed world boxing champion Kostya Tszyu Tim Tszyu in the next fight may meet with the Australian of Irish descent Dennis Hogan.
The fight is already in development and will be announced in the next couple of weeks. It is noted that if both sides reach an agreement, then this fight will have to take place in the first three months of 2021.
Recall that Tszyu originally intended to fight for the WBO junior middleweight title against Patrick Teixeira, but these plans failed at the end of December, when it became known that the Brazilian Teixeira received a visa to visit the United States, where he will defend the belt against Brian Castano.
Meanwhile, Hogan planned to fight ex-champion Julian Williams, but when negotiations for this fight fell through, he immediately switched to Tszyu, challenging him on social networks.
“I know I will beat Tim, and he believes that he will beat me, so let’s find out who is the best middleweight boxer in Australia. The winner will get a fight for the title,” Hogan wrote on the Internet.
Tszyu’s manager Glenn Jennings confirmed the negotiations with Hogan, noting that their team did not particularly want to travel around the world during the pandemic, and therefore they found it acceptable to have another fight in Australia.
