The interlocutors discussed regional security and the development of bilateral trade.
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the NATO Leaders Summit in London.
According to the White House spokesman, Hogan Gidley, during the meeting it was noted how important it is for Turkey to fulfill its obligations to the alliance. Trump and Erdogan also discussed regional security issues, energy security and the further strengthening of trade ties by increasing bilateral trade by $ 100 billion.
Recall that earlier during the London summit, French President Emmanuel Macron demanded that Turkey explain its attack on Kurdish forces in Syria with the support of Syrian rebels, who are considered extremists in Paris, as well as the purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems.
