The interlocutors called for an early meeting of the permanent members of the UN Security Council
U.S. President Donald Trump spoke on the telephone with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, the White House said.
According to the report, the presidents of the United States and France discussed the positive processes in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and progress towards reopening the world’s economies.
The interlocutors expressed hope for an early meeting of the permanent member countries of the UN Security Council in order to discuss UN efforts to combat the pandemic.
The President of the United States and the President of France agreed on the need for reform of the World Health Organization (WHO).
In addition, during the conversation a number of regional problems were discussed, as well as issues of bilateral relations.
