TWS headphones and smartwatches dominated the wearable segment in Q4

According to research firm Canalys, TWS headphones and smartwatches dominated the wearable segment in the fourth quarter of last year. The growth of these segments was 24.8% compared to the results of 2019. The leader in TWS-headphones was Apple with a share of 26.5% and 37.3 million devices shipped, its growth relative to the results of the previous year was 26.6%, followed by Samsung, including the Harman brands. It shipped 11.4 million devices, securing an 8.3% share with a 21.3% year-on-year growth, and in third place was Xiaomi with 8 million device shipments, 5.7% share and 33.2% growth. In the segment of smartwatches, Apple was also in the lead with shipments of 14.5 million units, a share of 25% and an increase of 49% relative to the results of 2019. Xiaomi was in second place with shipments of 8.7 million units, a 15% share and negative growth of -28.8%. Third place went to Huawei. it managed to sell 6.7 million devices, its results decreased by 12.1%.
