US Administration Distributes $ 372 Billion in COVID-19 Aid

The Biden administration said Wednesday that an additional 25 million checks, totaling $ 36 billion, have been sent to recipients as part of the $ 1.9 trillion U.S. economic aid bill due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Finance and the Internal Revenue Service informed the recipients of this fourth batch of checks. Based on this data, the number of checks distributed to date, totaling $ 372 billion, has reached 156 million.

The last payments within this framework began last Friday, and, according to the Ministry of Finance, in a number of cases the money was transferred directly to the accounts of the recipients.

After the blows from the pandemic, the US economy is gradually recovering. During the last month, 916,000 new jobs were created; unemployment in the country fell to 6%.
