Uzbek weekend: Murodzhon Akhmadaliyev “extended” Resuke Iwasa, defending the title of world champion

The boxing evening from the Matchroom promotion in Tashkent, Uzbekistan has ended.

In the main fight, the WBA / IBF champion in the second lightest weight (up to 55.3 kg), 26-year-old Uzbek Murodzhon Akhmadaliev (8-0-0, 6 KO) met with 31-year-old ex-champion from Japan Resuke Iwasa (27-3- 0.17 KO).

Akhmadaliev took full advantage of his activity in this battle, starting from the start to smash the static Iwasa with hooks on the body and head. The Japanese had their moments slipping when he inserted his punches in the pause between the attacks of the favorite, but this was not enough.

Towards the middle of the meeting, Akhmadaliev increased the pace and began to openly interrupt the patient rival, who did not even think to take a step back or move from the front of the attack, which led to, perhaps, a hasty decision by the referee in favor of the champion. Akhmadaliev TKO 5.
